The Fiji Association of Women Graduates (FAWG) has the privilege of hosting Samira Cook for a luncheon address for the month of August.
Samira B. Cook serves as the Director of the Washington, DC Women’s Business Center (DC WBC). The DC WBC supports woman entrepreneurs through training, individual consultation, mentoring, and business growth through government procurement opportunities and exporting.Ms. Cook is responsible for providing women with the knowledge to create stable business foundations and growth through training and technical assistance. Throughout her public service career, Ms. Cook has worked to enhance community economic development in several states and local governments including Washington, DC, New Jersey, St. Louis, and San Francisco. Her interest in community economic development has also taken her to several countries in Europe and Africa to assist in local business development.
